Supply Chain Manager

To support our growth and enhance our operational capabilities, we are seeking an experienced and driven Supply Chain Manager to lead and evolve our end-to-end supply chain operations.

The Role

As a Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the supply chain function. You will work cross-functionally to ensure reliable, cost-effective sourcing, robust supplier performance, and full compliance with material and quality standards. This is a critical leadership role, driving efficiency, quality, and resilience across the supply base.  As a member of the leadership team, you will also be responsible for driving a positive culture of inclusion, continuous improvement, adherence to all compliance requirements and promoting a strong health and safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supplier Management:
    • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
    • Evaluate and select new suppliers in line with strategic requirements.
    • Build and maintain the approved supplier list
    • Monitor and drive supplier performance (OTD, quality, responsiveness).
  • Contract Negotiation & Cost Control:
    • Lead commercial negotiations to secure competitive pricing and commercial terms.
    • Identify and deliver cost reduction opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure all supplied materials meet required specifications and certifications (e.g., CoCs, RoHS, REACH, COSHH).
    • Maintain full traceability and compliance with legislative, regulatory and internal (NDE and Goonvean Group) standards.
    • Coordinate supplier containment and corrective actions in the event of quality issues.
    • Supplier Audits
  • Scheduling & Logistics:
    • Manage material planning and scheduling to ensure timely availability of components, including between sites.
    • Work closely with production planning to align supply with demand (from suppliers and between sites).
    • Mitigate risks of supply disruption through proactive risk and inventory management.
  • Process Improvement & Reporting:
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
    • Implement and report on KPIs for supplier performance, cost, and delivery.
    • Lead cross-functional projects to optimise the end-to-end supply process.

About You

  • Proven experience in a senior supply chain or procurement role within a manufacturing environment (preferably electronics or technical components).
  • Strong negotiation skills and a track record of cost savings and value creation.
  • Deep understanding of supply chain compliance, quality standards, and risk management.
  • Ability to manage complexity, prioritise and communicate clearly across teams.
  • ERP/MRP system proficiency and strong analytical/reporting skills.
  • Driving licence essential (multi site role) and Valid Passport as occasional foreign travel may be required.
  • Degree or equivalent in supply chain management, engineering, or business preferred.
